About Sour Grapes Winery
Sour Grapes Winery was founded in 2010 as a venue for a group of aspiring writers and creators to hone their craft. Contrary to the frequent asked question, we do not produce wine of any kind, nor do we have any intentions of doing so in the near future (however, we reserve the right to change this at any time in the future).
What Sour Grapes Winery is about though is to encourage writers to be prolific and motivated in developing their writing portfolios, while also earning some exposure for their opinions. Sour Grapes Winery is comprised of writers of fiction and non-fiction, both of which may be featured on this web-magazine. Sour Grapes Winery currently has two types of contributors: 1) Featured Columnist, and 2) Contributing Columnist.
Featured Columnists form the core of the Sour Grapes Winery community with the most frequent contribution of pieces and with greater freedom in the topics that they cover. Contributing Columnists, on the otherhand, are compromised of writers who may not be able to make the necessary commitment required to be a Featured Columnist, but are still interested in contributing to the Sour Grapes Winery community from time-to-time. Additionally, Contributing Columnists may simply be newer writers who are looking for an avenue to develop their writing by coming on board with the vision of the Sour Grapes Winery community.
If you are interested in contributing, please submit the following:
Featured Columnists:
4-5 examples of your writing, as a portfolio.
A 2-page bio about yourself, including your academic achievements and your future writing and non-writing aspirations.
A 1-page document discussing why you think you would make a good fit with the other featured columnists who already have taken up residence at SGW.
And finally, tell us how you came across the Sour Grapes Winery.
