Housing Discrimination: You Had Me At "Hello" - November 5, 2010
Jordan Taren grew up, and has spent a majority of his life, in Chicago, Illinois, where he currently resides. He graduated from the University of Oregon in 2008 with a Bachelor's of Arts in Political Science. He just recently started writing as a means of communication with friends and family back home during a year abroad in Lille, France, while teaching English. It evolved from there into something much more enjoyable. He is an avid traveler, and aside from that year in France, he participated in a term abroad in Athens, Greece, as well as student exchanges in Agen, France, and Florence, Italy. Currently, he is the Director of Research and Intake at HOPE Fair Housing Center in Wheaton, Illinois. Inspiration for his writing come from friends, family, matters of social justice, civil and human rights, politics, traveling and sports. Also, he is a shameless fan of the Oregon Ducks.
