I have a strange question for you. I'm 16 years old and still trying to figure out who I am, I guess. I love sports and I love the Leafs. I also love cars and working out. I love all those things, but when it comes to girls, I'm not so sure. I'm not gay, I am certain of that, but.....admittedly, I can't help but feel a little turned off about kissing a girl. I've never kissed a girl, but I don't think that I've ever wanted to. What is so great about sucking saliva from a girl? What if she has a history with cold sores? I don't want that. Can I get a STD from kissing a girl? What about AIDs? Maybe you can help me. I'm told that girls think the first kiss is among the most important thing in deciding whether the relationship has potential, but if I'm repulsed by kissing girls, what can I do? I have no experience.

NO: You know, I have a close friend who says the same sorts of things. First off, you don't have to worry, you can't get an STD from kissing anybody. Second, your feelings about kissing girls, is completely normal. Most would say it isn't, but trust me, it is. Some folks just aren't interested in things like kissing, and sex, or being comfortably naked around others. If you are repulsed by the idea of kissing girls, well then, don't kiss girls. It's as simple as that. Live life how you want to, and don't let society and others tell you what's normal, and what you should do, and how you should be around the opposite sex. If you have no interest, then that's fine! In fact, since that distraction is out of the way, do something you love! Draw, write, film, sculpt, anything! Don't make 'what should I do about kissing' priority one. Maybe your feelings towards kissing will change, but maybe it won't. Either way, live your life, and don't listen to judgement.
